Overview

We built a unified data publication platform for the ADEX Group — serving HUPX (Hungary), SEEPEX (Serbia), and BSP (Slovenia). The platform delivers real-time and historical electricity market data to thousands of traders daily.

The Challenge

Before Labs, HUPX operated with fragmented database tables and a basic website that simply displayed data. There was no integrated sales capability, no partner management, and no way to monetize non-public or historical data. The formation of the ADEX Group required unifying data from three exchanges with different formats and conventions.

Our Solution

We designed an API-first architecture on Azure with Go backend services for high-performance data processing. The platform handles complex challenges including the 60-minute to 15-minute MTU transition (quadrupling data volume), DST edge cases for time-series data, and sophisticated auction state management where deleted auctions require specialized detection logic.

Labs launched commercially in summer 2025 and now serves thousands of users daily across free and premium tiers. The platform maintains 99.99% uptime while handling 60K+ daily requests. Smart caching strategies deliver millisecond-level responsiveness that traders consistently praise.
